The technician was a ***. He pressed on the chip until it caused three running cracks. Then scraped around in the hole, in effect etching the glass. Further scratched my windshield while using a razor blade to remove the excess acrylic material. Now it's a cloudy spot. Looks bad. I called to complain and got hung up on four times. Finally talked with customer service and he said they don't care how it looks. He said a successful repair is one that stops the damage from running. Period. So if you care how the repair looks then don't use Safelite.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. We work hard to ensure that each and every customer is delighted with their service. Repairs are designed to restore the structural integrity of the glass itself rather than a cosmetic fix, as it should have been explained by the technician. Please contact our customer advocates at 800-835-3357 so that we can help to make things right with you.

Thanks

Jennifer
