I had you install a new windshield in my car today. The serviceman told me to wait an hour before diriving the car, which I did. Now the windshield rattles, it is obviously loose in the frame. I have a truck that had a broken window, too bad safelite autoglass was not the company to actually make the repairs! They failed to keeps appointments they scheduled! They do not call when they decide they are no longer gonna show up, they simply do not show up and leave you hanging! Will never recommend anyone using Safelite for Auto Glass services nor working for them. They do not train employees - There is a survey for all employs every year and if your honest and think its confidential it's not!!!!! The manager was rude and acted as if he didn't want to put the windshield in I was 7 min late for apointment and he was busy when he finally helped me it was 15 min after my appointment time and he said that he would have to keep pushing my vehicle back until he has time to do it I guess he thinks he is the only gig in town I would suggest not taking your vehicle to their Gaithersburg MD... My real beef is with the main company. It turns out the young local service tax and support very kind and did the job within the time frame they gave me. What upsets me most is that when the car windshield was chipped... I was told that my insurance to take care of it. I had a cracked front windshield replaced at a Safelite Shop. After 2 hours the work was done and I proceeded up the road. The windshield was leaking air, was noisy and was obviously not a tight fit. I immediately brought back to shop. I was told the FY type of glass was known to have a shape that did not seat properly and cause these symptoms on the front passenger side. I called a local number and and ended up with the national call center. The person on the phone assured me that they (safelite) had my window in stock, quoted me a price and confirmed it to me by an email. I agreed with them on the price and returned the email confirming same. On the day they were to perform I got and email saying the price was now more than $140 more than we had contracted... When you call in for glass claim, Safelite gives themselvesthe business first. If you ask for another class company, Safelite states your insurance company won't warranty the other glass company only Safelite. This is steering. According to former employee.
